Everything You Need to Know for a Week in San Pedro, Belize

If you have been following us on Instagram, you’ve seen us post some dreamy, tropical photos lately. Who doesn’t like abundant rich cheese and pasta? We thought it deserved a place in the ever growing Tonight’s Better Together cook book.   I love Mac and Cheese. I love all variations from the store bought box mac and cheese to mac and cheese made from scratch. Here is a simple and basic mac and cheese recipe with some added spices and flavors. Ingredients 8-10oz Dry Macaroni Pasta (Penne works well too) 3 Tbs Unsalted Butter ¼ c AP Flour ½ tsp salt 2 ½ c Milk 3 c Mild Cheddar (or your favorite cheese or cheese mix)  (Optional) ½ tsp Dry Mustard 1/8 tsp Smoked Paprika First you want to get a large pot filled with water. Rule of thumb is to use a pot that will give the pasta enough room to move around and not …

It’s so easy to get caught up in the trials of daily life without realizing the lasting impact it may have on your health and relationships. I’ve admittedly been a busy bee for the past couple of months. My nose has been in the laptop or a phone for far too long and I haven’t been enjoying the small things. In the grips of working 70 hours a week in my day job, running a blog part time, serving at church, and domestic duties, I have been stressed and consumed with everything I need to do. So much so, that it affects my physical health and my attitude in relationships. My husband on the other hand is really good at rest. He can shut off the stress of to-do lists and immediately switch to having fun playing a video game or relaxing on the couch with me. All the while, …
